Photo of Darcia Dahl Van Veen, Acupuncturist

Darcia received her training in Vancouver at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a registered Acupuncturist in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA).

A process of recovery (from a car accident in 2001) ultimately led to Darcia's desire to facilitate healing for others. With the help of a great TCM Dr, she felt much better both physically and emotionally. This initially caught her attention and steered her toward Acupuncture.

Her Reiki training has been through Laurie Dewar and Erica Otto. She is also studying visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute. She loves learning and sees the value in refining her craft. Because there are a number of ways to shift the energy of the body to assist with healing, and each person is unique, she offers a range of services including acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion and Reiki. Her approach to treatment is gentle, thorough, and persistent.

When not working, you can find her outside, often with her two little amigos (twin girls) at her side. Water, mud or mountains, count them in. After growing up in Lynn Valley, and exploring other places to live, she settled in Squamish 9 years ago.
